Texas VA Home Loan Limits for 2020
The VA announced for 2020 new guidelines for VA jumbo loan limits. The first type of loan limit is for Veterans that have full entitlement. The second loan limit is for Veterans who are using partial entitlement.
For Veterans with full entitlement available who want to purchase a home, as of Jan 1, 2020 there is no loan limit under the VA Loan Program. However, most lenders have implemented their own loan limit caps for this program.
At Guaranteed Rate, we allow for financing over the conforming limit of $548,250. However, for loan amounts over $548,250 please contact us to see what your down payment requirement would be.
In situations where a Veteran borrower has partial entitlement from previous use of a VA loan, the loan amount available to the Veteran may be affected. The best thing to do is fill out the short form to the right and we will contact you to get details and help you determine the maximum loan amount you can receive.
If you are using either full or partial entitlement, we would need to obtain your certificate of eligibility. If you would like to obtain your certificate of eligibility, you can contact us for assistance or you can obtain it directly from the VA by visiting the VA E-Benefits page.
